Псков – один из древнейших и красивейших городов на Северо-Западе России, недалеко от Эстонии, в 700 (семистах) километрах от Москвы. Жителя Пскова называют псковичом (пскови́ч или псковитянин), а жительницу – псковитянкой (псковитянка или псковичка). Люди, которые живут в Пскове, - псковичи́ или псковитя́не. |
Pskov is one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in the Russian North-West of Russia, not far from Estonia, 700 kilometers from Moscow. A resident of Pskov ( a man) is called Pskovich or Pskovityanin, and a woman resident is called Pskovityanka or Pskovichka. People who live in Pskov are called Pskovichi or Pskovityane. |

Существует легенда, что более тысячи лет назад, когда на месте Пскова росли дремучие леса, в одной из деревень на реке Великой, жила девушка Ольга. Она была из бедной семьи и зарабатывала тем, что перевозила через реку купцов и другой разный люд. Однажды молодой князь, а был это Игорь, сын Рюрика, тоже попросил девушку перевезти его на другой берег, но сказал, что сам будет грести. А когда сошёл на берег, попросил её стать его женой. И произошло это в далёком 903 году. |
There is a legend that more than a thousand years ago, when dense forests grew in the place of Pskov, there was a girl named Olga, who lived in one of the villages on the Velikaya (Great) River. She was from a poor family and earned by transporting merchants and other people across the river. One day a young prince, and it was Igor, the son of Rurik, also asked a girl to transport him to the other side, but he said that he would row by himself. And when he went ashore, he asked her to be his wife. And it happened back in the year 903. |
