SUZDAL is one of the oldest cities in Russia. Located within the “Golden Ring,” Suzdal is classified as a national preserve.

Год основания - 1024 год. В начале XII века при Юрии Долгоруком был центром Ростово-Суздальского княжества.

Founded in the year 1024, it was the center of Rostov-Suzdal principality at the beginning of 12th century, when the land was ruled byYuri Dolgorukov.

Расположение - 26 километров от Владимира.

Located: 26 km from the city of Vladimir.

Население - около 11 (одиннадцать) тысяч жителей, которые в основном работают в гостиничном бизнесе.

В Суздале сохранилось большое число памятников древнерусского зодчества XII – XVII веков, которые включены в список Всемирного наследия ЮНЕСКО и являются центром притяжения туристов со всего мира. В июле Суздале в музее деревянного зодчества проводится Праздник Огурца.

Suzdal is also home to a large number of unique monuments of Russian architecture from the 12th through 14th centuries that are listed among UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites. The city attracts tourists from all over the world. In July, the Suzdal Museum of Wooden Architecture is hosts the Cucumber Festival.

Кроме Суздаля в Золотое кольцо России входят Владимир, Ростов Великий, Углич и другие города.

Together with Suzdal, other cities such as Vladimir, Rostov and Uglich are also part of Russia’s “Golden Ring.”
