КАМЧАТКА – полуостров на Дальнем Востоке, который омывается морями Тихого океана. Это красивейшее место на Земле, куда стремятся попасть многие туристы, чтобы насладиться зрелищем вулканов, иногда действующих, увидеть Долину гейзеров, и даже искупаться в горячих источниках.

KAMCHATKA is the peninsula in the Far East washed by the seas of the Pacific Ocean. This is one of the beautiful places on Earth, and many tourists are eager to come to enjoy the volcanoes (some of them are active now), to see the Valley of Geysers, and even to bathe in the hot springs.

Всего на Камчатке более 300 вулканов. Наиболее знаменитый из них – Ключевская сопка.

There are more than 300 volcanoes in Kamchatka. The most famous of them is Klyuchevskaya Sopka.

В период нереста рыбы многие едут сюда порыбачить, а реки Камчатки хороши для спортивного рафтинга.

In the spawning season, a lot of people come here to fish, and the rivers of Kamchatka are also good for rafting.

Камчатка была открыта в 17 веке русскими землепроходцами, а уже в 1740 году был основан город Петропавловск-Камчатский, который сейчас является административным центром и насчитывает примерно 100 тысяч жителей.

Kamchatka was discovered in the 17-th century by the Russian explorers, and the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky was founded in 1740. Today it is the administrative center with about 100,000 inhabitants.

Камчатка – это край, который стоит увидеть. Ведь пока мало кто из иностранцев бывал здесь, хотя весь полуостров можно с уверенностью назвать одним из чудес света нашей планеты.

Kamchatka is a land that is worth seeing at least once. Indeed, not many foreigners have been there, even though the whole peninsula can be definitely called as one of the wonders of our beautiful planet.
