We are in one of the famous and newly opened exhibitions in Moscow – Vrubel.

Actually, I was thinking that I was... I will be alone early in the morning.

But in fact, it is crowded because Vrubel is beloved by everyone

...and he is considered to be a representative of the Russian Modern.

And we are in front of the famous and picturesque Царевна-Лебедь, The Swan Princess.

The Swan Princess...It was painted by Vrubel when he was interested in the Russian fairytales,

Конечно, мы узнаём черты Царевны-Лебедь, или черты Забелы-Врубель в Царевне-Лебеди. We can definetely recognize Zabela - Vrubel in The Swan Princess and vice versa

Надежда Ивановна Забела-Врубель. Nadezhda Ivanovna Zabela-Vrubel.

Она была певицей, вы слышите её голос в опере "Садко" Римского- Корсакова. She was a singer. You are listening to her voice now in "Sadko" opera by Rimsky-Korsakov.

Для неё он придумывал костюмы театральные. He designed her theatrical costumes

Конечно, это - шедевры. Of course, these are masterpieces.

This is one of the famous Vrubel's painting "Pan".

Russian fairytales inspired Vrubel to make the costumes and maiolica to some of the nice, famous and beautiful opera by Rimsky - Korsakov "Snegurochka" (Snow Maiden)

And we are here in "Snegurochka" Hall.

This is Kupava, maiolica of Kupava.

You know that Snegurochka was quite cold, and Kupava was falling in love...

Here is Vesna (Spring).

Kupava was falling in love with Mizgir.

He dosn't love her, but he loves Snegurochka

This is a typical triangle: Snegurochka doesn't love Mizgir. She loves Lel

Melankholically.

Lel was a singer, Mizgir was a merchant

А это - мудрый царь Берендей. This is wise Berendei

This is maiolica to illustrate "Sadko" opera

And the Sea Tzar, Sadko, Volkhova, the Princess Volkhova

...the   portrait of his beautiful wife. И, конечно же его жена, Забела- Врубель, это её портрет

Он обожал её писать. He adored to draw her.

It's another masterpiece "Прощание царя Морского с царевной Волховой", который он писал к опере "Садко". This is another masterpiece "The Farewell of the Sea Tzar to Princess Volkhova”.
